A Longing. Part I.

If I were your dog, I would be so obedient.
If I were your dog, I'd never jump over the fence.
If I were your dog, I would always come.

If I were your dog, I'd do whatever you told me to.
If I were your dog, I'd never, ever gnash my teeth at you.
If I were your dog, I would always love you.

If I were your dog, I would always be on guard.
If I were your dog, I'd make sure you were never in harm.
If I were your dog, I'd sleep with one eye open.

You mean so much to me, yet it's hard for you to see.
You mean the world to me, and your dog I'd be willing to be.

If I were your dog, I'd try to learn what you are trying to teach.
If I were your dog, you could keep me on the shortest leash.
If I were your dog, I would bring you the paper.

If I were your dog, I'd never, ever have an accident.
If I were your dog, that, I would always try to prevent.
If I were your dog, I'd be stuck to you like cement.

If I were your dog, I would always try to learn new tricks.
If I were your dog, I would fetch each and every stick.
If I were your dog, I'd play, even if I didn't feel like it.

You mean everything to me, yet it seems like you don't know.
You mean more than words to me, but where you are, I'll always go.

If I were your dog, I would love you unconditionally and completly.

Aww this one is sweet and kind of really sad. You would make a really good dog. I actually don't like dogs but I'd make an exception for you.
