There's a target on the back
of every Tom, Dick, and Harry
and a gun in the hand
of every Nancy & Mary.
Some days, getting lost can be distracting but it's hard to quit when you've grown up acting.



Spent days learning the importance
of suspension and the correct speed
so your back doesn't break;
your spine remains straight.

Then I'm told the laws
of gravity don't apply to sand
and octane, all one needs
is to hit the gas.

The end table I bought
needed tools not included.
Mostly built, it's funny
how long things go unfinished.
