atypical dilemma:
a man buys socks
with a lifetime guarantee
this reassures him greatly
until one is lost
and the company won't hear
his relentless pleas for a replacement
so he takes his other sock
and cuts it in two
claiming to the company
he had a terrible accident
reluctantly they agree
upon documentation and to his glee
they send another pair
and to the mans dismay
behind the washing machine one day
he finds the missing sock.
